HaulLookup (“HaulLookup,” “we,” “us”) operates a free directory for looking up publicly available FMCSA data about trucking carriers and brokers, and a tool for getting matched with third-party factoring, insurance, and ELD/compliance providers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It isn't legal advice, and if you need a policy tailored to specific legal requirements, consult an attorney.
When you submit our “Get matched with a provider” form, we collect the name, email address, and service need (e.g. Factoring, Insurance, ELD/Compliance, Other) you enter. We only collect this information when you choose to submit the form — browsing the site or looking up a carrier or broker doesn't require you to provide any personal information.
Carrier and broker profile pages show data sourced from FMCSA's public Company Census File, SAFER, and QCMobile systems — USDOT/MC numbers, company names, addresses, safety ratings, insurance-on-file amounts, and similar business-registration information. This is public government data about businesses, not personal data we collect about you, and we don't control how FMCSA itself collects or maintains it.
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) automatically log standard technical information for security and operational purposes — things like IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall site usage — things like which pages are viewed, how visitors found the site, and general device/location information (typically city- or region-level, not precise location). We don't use any of this to build an identified profile of individual visitors, and we don't run any advertising tracking scripts on this site.
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and measure site usage as described above. We don't use cookies or browser storage for advertising, and we don't combine Analytics data with the information you submit through our matching form. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's cookie or tracking-prevention settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google itself handles this data. If we add advertising or other tracking in the future, we'll update this policy and provide any notice or choices required by law.
We don't use lead-form submissions for unrelated marketing, and we don't sell your personal information.
We retain lead-form submissions for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill the matching purpose you submitted them for and for basic business record-keeping, unless you request deletion sooner (see “Your Choices” below).
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Our lead-capture form is insert-only at the database level — submissions can't be looked up, edited, or listed through our public site or API — so the way to exercise these rights is to contact us directly at contact@haullookup.com, and we'll process reasonable requests.
This site is intended for business use by trucking industry professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
We use reasonable technical measures — including database access controls (row-level security) and encrypted connections (HTTPS) — to protect information submitted to us. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and we'll update the “Last updated” date above.
